Our ethos
- 01
Awaken
Recognise what needs to change
Recovery starts with recognition: of the impact addiction is having, of what is no longer working, and of the need for change.
Assessment, stabilisation, medical and psychiatric care, psychological formulation and brain mapping help build a detailed picture of the person, their substance use, their circumstances and what they need from treatment.
- 02
Understand
Make sense of the patterns beneath it
Through 1:1 work, group work and the 12-step programme, people begin to explore the patterns, behaviours and experiences linked to their addiction.
Alongside this, each person takes part in six separate, tailored, evidence-based psychological days, shaped by their individual formulation. These will focus on attachment, relationships, trauma, family and wider systemic influences, and reintegration into everyday life.
The aim is to understand what may be maintaining addiction and what needs to change to support long-term recovery.
- 03
Practise
Turn insight into something different
Understanding becomes meaningful when it can be put into practice.
The residential programme provides a clinically supported environment where people can learn, practise and build new ways of managing emotions, relationships and difficult situations.
- 04
Continue
Progressing recovery into everyday life
Residential treatment is one part of a longer process. Preparation for life after treatment begins during the programme, helping people carry what they have learned and practised into everyday life.
This includes relapse prevention, healthier relationships, establishing support networks, mutual aid, ongoing treatment and a realistic plan for maintaining recovery after discharge.
